Grande Vitesse Systems Inc. is announcing a powerful new solution for the growing 2K and HD market. The GVS9000
4NXU Pro is a Digital Film Recorder and non-linear video Server with dual SDI offering uncompressed 2K, 4:4:4,
4:2:2 1080i/p 23.98-60 variable frames per second (fps) to 2K capture, fully redundant cluster storage. It is designed to
provide the highest quality 4K playback with native direct RAW digital camera file format files as well as recording 2K
RAW, 3D uncompressed during 4K 3D playback, record, edit, store, and broadcast w/16 channel audio, direct from camera,
telecine, or tape deck for any studio requiring a tape-less production environment.
With built-in GVSAN the GVS90004NXU Pro provides the ultimate production tool. Its’ streamlined, open-
architecture SAN and NAS storage delivers the high data rates that are required for the most intensive uncompressed
4K, 2K and HD applications in the digital video industry today. The dual 4GB Fiber Interface or 10Gbit option
provides transparent, high speed, secure, shared storage for a wide variety of digital production options, including live
capture, ingest, editing, and storage, with VDCP, GPIB and RS422, controlled. Best of all, there is no need to move
media to and from different video servers - just plug in and broadcast with full on-air support, making it ideal for feature
film production, live events, Broadcast Stations, Post Houses, 3D Effects, Trailer Houses, and much more. Users can
share all live or recorded content during recording over network or SDI for immediate broadcast or preview. The
internal storage delivers over 6.0Gbit/sec access for 40 hours of uncompressed HD video and audio. The GVS9000
4NXU Pro has been certified with a large number editing and retouching software so users can even start editing in both 2D and 3D while
recording without the need for any conversion - just plug and play without spending hours on configuration or worrying
about application and storage compatibility.

Expansion is extremely cost effective because while GVS9000 4NXU Pro can plug in over 200 drives, you do not need
to fill in all drive slots up front. Just acquire them as needed. With current drive capacities reaching over 2.0TB each,
the total storage on line can exceed 400TB, without the need for expensive management tools. Support for smart park
allows media that is not active to simply “park” without power consumption so it is just like having 200 tapes online and
yet the retrieval time is instantaneous.
The GVS9000 4NXU Pro is designed with all recyclable materials, uses less than 430W power and operates at an
extremely low noise level, even with all 32TB active. It provides the most cost effective on-line and off-line storage in
today’s market place for a total cost of system with 32TB starting at $19,950-$74,950 based on specific configuration.
