The Nomadic
1U, a high-performance, 1U Form Factor rack-mounted disk storage system,
offering scalability with capacities up to 2.5TB features hot-swappable power
supplies and other design innovations ideal for demanding video, medical,
scientific and government applications.
The system provides a range of host interface options,
including (2GB) Dual Fibre Channel, Ultra SCSI320, Firewire800, SATA and ATA.
The Nomadic 1U incorporates
4 hot-swap drive bays, hot-swap cooling system, and Dual redundant N+1 power
supplies.
Supporting Linux, NT, Mac OS9 and Mac OSX and other Unix based
systems, the new solution is completely versatile, with RAID 0, 1, 3, 5 and
0+1 capabilities.
The Nomadic
1U is part of a family of GVS storage solutions which include the new
Nomadic Cube, a compact storage solution
with 4 ATA drives, up to 1.2TB in storage, FireWire 400 and 800 host interfaces,
as well as hardware RAID 5 capability.
